WHAT ARE THE CHECK IN / CHECK OUT TIMES?
Enniskeen Estate luxury glamping cabins
You can check in from 3pm at Enniskeen Estate luxury glamping cabins. Please let us know your planned time of arrival so we can ensure somebody is available to greet you and get you checked in.
Check out is by 11am. We politely ask that you leave your hidden sanctuary and return your key by this time, you are welcome to enjoy the wider estate after this time.
Mountain Cottage
You can check in from 4pm at the Mountain Cottage. Please let us know your planned time of arrival.
ARE YOU PET / DOG FRIENDLY?
Due to the abundant native wildlife living permanently on the estate, no pets are permitted at Enniskeen Estate’s cabins unfortunately. We love dogs ourselves but unfortunately they can disturb wildlife even when on a lead - for example female Doe Deers during pregnancy and newly born fawn deers.
DOES EACH OF YOUR GLAMPING CABINS HAVE A PRIVATE HOT TUB?
Yes all our luxury glamping cabins and our mountain cottage have their own private hot tub overlooking the Mourne Mountains. The private hot tub is for your use only and is beside your cabin. Its the best glamping in Ireland!
DID HUGH JACKMAN ACTUALLY STAY OVERNIGHT WITH YOU?
Yes! - Hugh Jackman the A-list actor stayed with us for 3 nights in March 2025 while filming the new movie ‘The Death of Robin Hood’ in Tollymore Forest Park. Hugh said he would love to come back and stay with us again so fingers crossed! The new movie ‘The Death of Robin Hood’ is due to be released on 4 June 2026.
DO YOU HAVE FAMILY CABINS, HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN SLEEP IN YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS?
We are an adult-only retreat offering peace & quiet from the everyday, and so do not currently offer any family accommodation facilities. Our accommodation options are for up to 2 adults only.
WHERE IS THE NEAREST BAR?
During open season (March-November) enjoy a drink at the Enniskeen Hotel bar & outdoor terrace also located on the estate - check out the breath-taking views of Slieve Donard and the Mourne Mountains as you soak in the afternoon sun. Bar is open until 11pm Monday-Saturday, 10pm Sunday.
WHERE CAN I GET LUNCH/DINNER?
Enniskeen Hotel is a separate business located on the estate (open March-November) and offers bar snacks, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and alfresco dining on the garden terrace.
Oak Restaurant Pre-booking advised.
Lunch: 12.30PM – 2.30PM Monday to Sunday
Dinner: 5PM – 8.30PM Monday to Sunday
Bar Snacks

Afternoon Tea

A range of award winning bars and restaurants are also available in nearby towns of Newcastle, Maghera and Dundrum (5-10 minutes drive)

Our glamping cabins are equipped with a coffee machine, kettle and cool box. There are no cooking facilities.
Mountain Holiday Cottage
The Mountain Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with wood fired stove oven.
WAS ENNISKEEN ESTATE & FOREST SPA THE FIRST OFFICIAL 5 STAR GLAMPING VENUE ON THE ISLAND OF IRELAND?
Yes Enniskeen Estate & Forest Spa was thrilled to be awarded a 5 star accreditation for its luxury glamping cabins and forest spa by the official tourism authority for Northern Ireland TourismNI. Further Failte Ireland the official tourism authority for the south of Ireland has confirmed they have not awarded any 5 star accreditated glamping venues in the South of Ireland.
WHERE CAN I PARK?

Parking is available in the hotel carpark, situated a short 5minute stroll along the river trail to our luxury glamping cabins, Guests should note the path to luxury glamping cabins is uneven and includes steps, please wear suitable clothing and sturdy outdoor footwear. When checking-in your bags will be brought to your cabin for you by one of our team.

GETTING TO ENNISKEEN ESTATE & FOREST SPA IN IRELAND
Enniskeen Estate & Forest Spa is located in the North-east of Ireland beside Tollymore Forest Park and is just 1 mile from the small seaside town of Newcastle & the world famous Royal County Down Golf Course. Belfast is approximately 40 mins drive and 1 hour from Dublin.

HOW DO I CHECK IN AT ENNISKEEN ESTATE & FOREST SPA IRELAND?
Check-in instructions are sent to your email a few days prior to arrival, please ensure you have provided the correct email address, and have added Enniskeen Estate & Forest Spa to your safe list to help ensure you receive this.
WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR AN ENNISKEEN ESTATE & FOREST SPA STAY?
Bring a sense of adventure! Dress ready for the outdoors and bring sturdy flat soled outdoor footwear for the walk down through the woods to your glamping cabin. In your luxury glamping cabin there is essentials like bed linens, towels and bath products - to keep things simple and preserve valuable space in glamping cabin we recommend packing light and as compact as you can. Its also a good idea to bring a spare torch with you and if you have booked the forest spa don’t forget your swimsuit.
DO YOUR CABINS HAVE TOILET & SHOWER FACILITIES?
Yes! - Each of our luxury glamping cabins are fully self-contained for your comfort and have their own private ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower.
IS ENNISKEEN ESTATE & FOREST SPA A GOOD PLACE TO STAR GAZE?
Enniskeen Estate & Forest Spa is a great place to star gaze as it is located deep in a river valley which cuts out surrounding light pollution - and the estate has positioned their cabins in natural forest glades so you have an expansive view of the night sky when you are down in the woods. Further the lighting around the private glamping cabins and forest spa area is dark-sky friendly in that the lighting is low level - downward facing and a soft warm colour - so your eyes are free from glare and can properly focus on the night sky including the Milky Way and all its wonders.

To use your gift voucher against accommodation bookings please enter your voucher code within the ‘discount code’ box during the booking process.
To book and use a voucher for a day forest spa experience such as our Afternoon Tea & Forest Spa overlooking Slieve Donard mountain, simply contact us via Whatsapp.
DO YOU OFFER ANY EXTRAS FOR SPECIAL OCCASSIONS SUCH AS ENGAGEMENTS?
If you are celebrating or are just looking to add a few extra touches, then please let us know in advance and we will be delighted to help make things extra special for you. We offer various enhancements for your cabin and also special packages at our romantic Riverhouse Gazebo.
DO YOU OFFER DAY SPA OPTIONS AT YOUR FOREST SPA IN IRELAND IF YOU CANT STAY OVERNIGHT?
Yes indeed, you can hire our wild forest sauna area for your own private use for up to 2 hours. The sauna cabin is nestled in the woods amongst nature and completely private to you - there is also a relaxation terrace and outdoor waterfall shower that you can enjoy between sauna sessions (we recommend 10-15 mins in sauna then cool down outside, and repeat 3 times). Hot/Cool contrast therapy has many health benefits - you will emerge from the forest feeling like a new person after it, we promise!
We also have a new large sized riverside hot tub which is perfect for groups of 3 or more adults which can be booked for private use. The private hot tub is perched on the riverbank overlooking the river cascade and has drinks delivered to it via a zipline! Yes - you can order a bottle of Prosecco and it is delivered to your private hot tub down a zipline, how cool is that?!
CAN I BOOK MULTIPLE CABINS FOR A GROUP CABIN STAY?
Absolutely! - We welcome small group bookings and can help co-ordinate multiple cabins and forest spa days for retreats, reunions, hen party spa packages or celebrations. Simply reach out to us on Whatsapp and our team will assist you with availability and planning.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Enniskeen Estate & Forest Spa is an adult-only facility, therefore no guest under the age of 18 can make a booking and all guests must be 16 or over.
ACCESSIBILITY
Please be advised Enniskeen Estate accommodations and grounds are not suitable for wheelchair access.
ALLERGEN AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
At Enniskeen Estate & Forest Spa we can cater to all dietary requirements; please let us know in advance if you have a specific allergy or dietary requirements such as gluten free, vegan etc.
